Outward Bound Year 6 Day 3
Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been another beautiful day at Outward Bound. Mrs Sengupta tells me that the other 3 groups were out on expedition last night, 2 groups were in the mountains and another group was camped out on the lake shore. I’m told it was a little chilly but with clear skies, absolutely stunning. The expedition groups are due back into the centre later this morning.
The other 2 groups are back in centre and spent yesterday completing adventurous canoe and mountain journeys. There were also trips out onto the lake on speedboats and steamers. Dinner for most was out of foil ration packs, cooked by the children over a camp fire. The choices were meatballs, chicken, pasta, rice, and finished off with maple sponge pudding.Everyone is eating well and I’m told that ‘lashings’ of hot chocolate are being consumed by all! The children are all doing well and all the staff that I have heard from are saying that it is a brilliant trip. Mrs McKenzie in particular is updating me regularly about how well her group are doing and how she is proud to the point of tears in her eyes.
I will be sure to update you again tomorrow and throughout the day on the children’s progress home.
