Year 4 visit to the London Central Mosque
Year 4 visit to the London Central Mosque
On Tuesday 2 nd of May, Year 4 children ventured into London again, this time to launch
our RE topic on Islam, through visiting the London Central Mosque near Regent’s Park.
On arrival, we were warmly greeted by our guide and were shown around the mosque
and the accompanying exhibition centre. In the prayer hall, the children learned about
the rules and rituals associated with Islamic prayer and the core beliefs of Islam.
Not only did our children show the upmost respect whilst visiting the mosque, they
impressed our guide and all of the parents who were supporting us on this visit, with
the maturity of their questions and their quest to further their own understanding of a
different faith.
Lunch in Regent’s Park rounded off a lovely and informative day out in London.
