Year 4 visit to The National Portrait Gallery – Friday 4th March 2016
Last Friday, Year4 ventured into London again on another school trip; this time to visit The National Portrait Gallery in Trafalgar Square.
We divided our day into two parts, with one class exploring the gallery in the morning, whilst the other class took part in a gallery led workshop, based on contemporary artists and self-portraits.
Fortunately, the sun shone brightly, which was a relief, as we were able to picnic outside around the fountain in Trafalgar Square and enjoy watching the hustle and bustle of London.
After lunch, we swapped around so the other class could participate in their workshop. Hopefully, some of the amazing artwork we saw, will inspire some fabulous art work of our own back in school.
