Outward Bound Day 4 and Return Journey.

Dear Parents/ Carers of year 6 children,

Good Morning to you all, Friday is finally here and you will be receiving some very tired children this evening.

The children had another very busy day yesterday. The weather was a bit hit and miss nether the less they all had a fab day. The children went to look at some conservation projects and learnt all about the environment, this sounded very interesting.

Some more children went on a very long hill hike and met the local Bull. They also fed some sheep. Another group went on the farm visit and learnt all about life as a farmer in the Cumbrian mountains, they got to feed the animals and watch more demonstrations with the animals.

Another group went gorge scrambling and waterfall dipping and got absolutely soaked. The last group had a very long canoe journey across and around the lake. Some very tired arms at the end of it.

Last night the whole group had a campfire, ate lots of toasted marshmallows and cake as well as drinking lots more hot chocolate. It was a brilliant end to an action packed week.

This morning the children are having a dynamics session, looking at all the learning of the week, sharing their stories and funny tales. The children will then attend a presentation ceremony and receive the John Muir Award.

I am immensely proud of all of them for achieving this. Some children have pushed themselves beyond all expectations and some have challenged themselves way out of their comfort zone. A real life time experience.
