On Friday 9th October the Ladybird class enjoyed their chance to go skip across London to visit the Queen’s beautiful horses and fairy-tale carriages at the Royal Mews. The reception class
thoroughly enjoyed their opportunity to venture through a picturesque St James’s park with autumn in full flow and jewelled coloured leaves littering the walkways.
Then once at the mews, adults and children alike listened intently to the very experienced Sheila ( our Royal Mews guide) share all of the history about the horses, stables and carriages.
Did you know that horses have their own passports?
at the end of the session we even got to participate in our own mock coronation and here is one of our wonderful Upland pupils becoming Queen.
At Upland school we inspire leadership!
